Shinekiwi's Super Awesome Things to Build - House Number 6!

Hey guys,

Here is my sixth house, sorry it isn't my mystery one, that post will follow, it's just I forgot to post this house! This is my survival house I did with a fellow minecrafter - kingzrule! We spent a while on this one, and we are both quite proud of it, as it's pretty good for a survival house! This powerpoint is pretty cool, because *kingz helped to make it!

So here it is! Enjoy!
Check the blog for my next post which will follow - my mystery house - finally! Sorry it took so long, but I promise it is worth it!

Still haven't thought of a new catchphrase,

Shine :P

*kingzrule's nickname, also the other one used for him is king, so sorry if I refer to him as that, now you know why!

Shinekiwi's Quick Tip of the Week

Hey guys,

So the new update is out - 1.8 - YAY!!! Pretty exciting huh?! Well anyway, I'm still working on my mystery house for you guys, so here is my quick tip of the week, and it's great for you slightly lazier minecrafters out there:

Use a night vision potion so you don't have to set the time! ;)

This is great because you can just drink a potion that lasts for 8 minutes, and then you don't have to keep resetting the time - especially if you're building - because I know that that can be really annoying.

Please feel free to comment with any tips or tricks you'd like me to share, and don't forget to subscribe to the blog! Hopefully, my mystery post for my houses chain will be able to be posted sometime in the next fortnight or so.

Keep Crafting 'Til The Sun Goes Down (and use my tips),

Shinekiwi's Quick Tip of the Week

Hey guys,

So I've been busy building a surprise for my houses chain this week, so, sorry, but this week it's another quick tip. How many of you would like to know the keyboard shortcut to changing gamemodes? Well, here is the tip! *Drumroll sounds...*

/tab* 0, 1, or 2!

And go from this.....

To this!

*Don't actually write tab, just press the key on your keyboard that says tab.

So there you have it! This week's quick tip! And sorry to those of you hanging out for my next house - I have my treehouse made, but I just need to post it on the blog! And of course, the mysterious surprise.... *wink*

Use these quick tips! And remember to subscribe to the blog and comment!

CutieKiwi's Creative- Three Top Tips!

Heyo Minecrafters! :)

Today I'm going to be telling you my three top tips for creating an EPIC creative building, terrain or anything in general. Let's get started!

3. ALWAYS plan interior first. No matter what you're building, interior always needs to be designed first because the size depends on the detail. Sometimes, I haven't been able to get enough detail with already created blocks, so I make it giant scale! :)

2. Remember the sponge! Okay, so the Sponge is an often overlooked block, but one the wields great power! Sponge will clear areas of water. This may not work on singleplayer or some multiplayers, I haven't tried it, but I know it works on Mikeland! :P
Bow Down In Its Brilliance!
1. Find Inspiration! I cannot say this one enough. Most of my builds are inspired by the last book I read, my favourite movie (a lot of builds on this one! XD), even a build from another player! I made a smiley face out of two circles! XD

Thanks for reading, everyone! :) Hope you liked it! Remember to comment and subscribe- we love your input!

Shinekiwi's Super Awesome Things to Build - House Tips!

Hey my fellow crafters,

I've been building a pretty cool house for a while, and I wanted to give you guys a couple tips on how to start if you're new to minecraft and are building a house, or even if you've been playing minecraft a while.

So, Tip Number 1:
Keep it small. If you really just want a neat little house that you can build quickly, keep it one story, and small. This is great on survival if night is coming, you've got no home, but a couple stacks 64 blocks. Just throw something together, and you can edit later.

Tip number 2:
Never make a fireplace with actual fire if your house is made out of something flammable. As Cutie, Sky and I learned, even if your fireplace is surrounded by non-flammable blocks one high, the flammable one above will burn. And fire spreads. Quickly.

Tip number 3:
If you want a successful crop/garden, have water some where in it, and so don't forget to hoe your dirt
before you plant seeds!

Tip number 4:
Make sure that you have some light in your house. If you don't, bats will spawn, and because they fly around heaps, they are pretty hard to kill on creative and survival! It doesn't take more than a few hits to kill them though...

Tip number 5:
Make sure your house is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it better be awesome,

Shinekiwi ;)
